Is
Reflexology A Valid Medical Treatment?
| Home | For the exhibition fair I used my poster and a quiz to get people interested. I really liked my poster and I feel it really reflected my knowledge of my topic and the different points of the people for and opposed to reflexology. I spent alot of time on my poster and I put alot of effort into creating my materials. At one point during the fair I looked over a foot chart for a woman who showed me a part of her foot that had been hurting. It turned out that that area corresponded to the thyroid and she had discovered earlier that day at the doctor that she had thyroid problems and had to have further testing done. I didn't have a hard time engaging an audience but by the end of the fair I was pretty tired and my voice was gone. The fair was good for finding out what kinds of things people are interested in about my topic. I don't think I really would have done anything differently for a similar fair but if I were doing this for a younger audience I would find a way to make it more interactive. I think the fair is a good idea as a preparation for the actual presentation and is interesting for underclassmen but it's kind of draining if you're the one presenting. |
