My attraction to pirates started at a young age, from watching Peter Pan to Goonies, I was sure of what a pirate looked like and acted. But as I grew up I noticed that pirates didn't seem to be as simple as Captain Hook. There was history and reasons why pirates did the things they did. When I was confronted with assignment of the exhibition I knew that researching pirates distortion in society
would be exciting.
