This site also contains a catiloge of merchandise, witch is a clear representation of  how pirates have been made into a trend and distored. Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Purl This is the home site for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, the site has a gallery of pictures form the movie, behind the scenes with imformation on how some characters were created, trailer clips of the movie, downloada and two games to play. Pirates of the Spanish Main This site is full of  information, pictures and games. This site has lots of things to read about pirates and to look at pictures. Also activitys for kids relating to pirates. David Codingly, Under the Black Flag David Codingly is the best of the best when it comes to pirates, he has writon many books about pirates and studyed them his throughout his life. Under the Black flag deals with my topic, he talkes about the image of pirates seen in our society, he explores myths and truns them into facts. If interested in reading futher about the subject of the distortion of pirates I highly recomend this book. Jan Rogozinski, Dictionary of Pirates This book is just what is sounds like, a dictionary of pirates. This book alows one to look up almost anything relating to pirates. Every documented pirate is listed in this book and most have a background to their lives. Also look up the history behind peg legs and eye patches. The book also contains movies with or about pirates.
