Did you know that
prescription stimulant type medications can have the same damage on the
brain as cocaine? Everyday these stimulant type medications are prescribed
to patients inorder treat and hide the symptoms of ADHD. However, over a long period of time, stimulant
medications and cocaine can have a similar effect of damage on the
frontal lobes
of the brain. Long term stimulant users not only take the chance
of
possible brain and liver damage, but they also run the risk of
possible damage to other major organs in the body. I have ADHD and have always
been faced with the difficult decision to medicate or not. In my
overall research on the topic I have found
other alternative treatments that can help treat and cure ADHD,
along with the stimulant type medications that can cause the most
damage.
