I have always loved music. I started banging on the piano before I could speak. some time around age four, I started to listen to songs on the radio and figure out the notes on piano. I picked up the drums in sixth grade and have been involved with music my whole life. It was not until I entered the seventh grade that I played in my first Jazz band. That is when Jazz presented itself to me as something more than music. I have learned so much from Jazz and have always particiated in combos and big bands since I played in that middle scohol Jazz band. Jazz has been a lesson for me in music and in life.
