I chose this topic because I am interested in the medical field; more specifically either pediatrics or intensive care. In the past I have had negative experiences with doctors, and was curious as to why I liked one doctor and didn’t like another. I wanted to know what kind of qualities the doctor should possess to create an open, honest, and comfortable relationship with their patient, and visa versa. I believe that everyone who visits the doctor occassionally or frequently needs to understand the type of relationship that they prefer to make sure that misdiagnoses, frustrations, and miscommunications do not occur.
