Every year in America there are about 42,000 traffic fatalities. This year, the number has dipped to an all time low. But all of these accidents do not occur just because someone is speeding; they occur because of some other factors that police could do a better job protecting drivers from. Common sense tells us that while driving fast does create an element of danger, it does not guarantee an accident by any means. My paper describes in depth the truth about dangers on America’s roads, and what can be done to make them safer.
