Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is the most common and arguably most controversial neurobehavioral disorder in children.  It is known that there are currently more children taking medication for ADHD than the percent of people who actually have it.  This is such a hot issue because the type of medication used for ADHD, known as stimulants, are very strong medications that some people believe are too powerful to give to young children.  Is ADHD misdiagnosed?  If so, how often?  What can cause this misdiagnosis to happen?  Finally, when it is diagnosed, what are the effects?  All these questions and more will be answered in my research.
